Stephanie Meyer Interview in School Library Journal
Stephenie Meyer, Utah native and Brigham Young University Graduate was recently interviewed by School Library Journal:
Speaking of The Host, her latest work, Meyer said, “[It] was just a story I had fun telling myself. My personal entertainment is always the key to why a story gets finished. I never think about another audience besides myself while I’m writing; that can wait for the editing stage.”

ALA’s Report on Serving Non-English Speakers
ALA’s report on serving non-english speakers has come out.
“The study’s goal was to develop an accurate baseline distribution of linguistically isolated areas in the United States relative to public library location. To do so, a comparative analysis of the US Census 2000 data category “linguistic isolation,” relative to the geographic location of public library outlets, was conducted. Libraries serving these populations were identified, and subsequently, perceived effective library services, materials and activities were identified through survey of these libraries.”
The article highlights the key findings and implications of the study, however the full report is also available for download, for your own perusal.
